The Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) is NCMA's pinnacle credential and an ANAB-accredited, nationally recognized standard in contract management. It signifies mastery of the full Contract Management Body of Knowledge (CMBOK) across the entire contract lifecycle.
Earning the CPCM requires substantial professional experience, a bachelor's degree, ongoing continuing education, and passing a rigorous exam — marking the holder as a senior practitioner in both commercial and government contracting.
What a CPCM holder can do
- Lead complex procurement and contract administration from end to end
- Structure, negotiate, and manage commercial and government contracts
- Apply disciplined risk allocation and compliance practices
- Advise leadership on sourcing strategy and contract governance
